What do these chewed wires go to? Is it dangerous to drive?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

CEL and CC lights on. Looked under hood
and saw these wires chewed through - black
not white wire  (see pic). Also, mice getting
in through vents.
1. What do these wires go to? Thinking black
wire is ground?
2. Is it dangerous to drive?
I work at a hospital with Covid patients and
must work this weekend 24 hours (also a
snow storm  coming tomorrow in which I will
be driving).
Please say it's safe to drive. Or, is there
anything I can do until I can get to my
mechanic next week?  Also, car runs rough
at low idle. Thanks!

I'd splice that black wire. Many people put dryer sheets down and change them out every so often to reduce mice infestation.
