2009 Kia Sportage radio issues

Hi! I have an 09 Kia Sportage and the radio goes off and on by itself all the
time, every few minutes. It comes back on to a random station and random
volume. No rhyme or reason. Sometimes it wont come on at all.

Are u loosing radio station presets?, unless u have steering wheel radio controls, sounds like u need to replace the stereo

I had a similar problem with my Sportage 2009. All the radio wiring checked out and what I eventually did was to take the radio out, re-seat all the plugs and aerial on the rear and then when I put it back, I made sure that the small earth plate underneath the unit was placed above the bracket that it normally sits underneath. I think that it somehow forced a better earth and its been 100% since
