2010 toyota camry

Asked by Kaseyb87 Sep 07, 2018 at 12:28 PM about the 2010 Toyota Camry Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2010 toyota camry. Everytime i put the
vehicle in drive it dies. But if i leave it in park it will
stay running. All i need to know is it the timing or a
camshaft position center. When i took the car to
auto zone the machine read 3 of the same codes
saying my camshaft was retarded.

The timing is NOT adjustable. The camshaft position sensor, its wiring or the ECU could be at fault. Throwing parts at it will likely cost you more money than taking it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis. Good luck with it.
