2010 SOUL PROBLEMS SIMILAR TO FAILING ALTERNATOR

Asked by weesher Nov 18, 2018 at 08:01 PM about the 2010 Kia Soul !

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2010 soul dies out mid drive. everything slowly started shutting off, until it
was out. I tried a new battery and the car started again; took the negative off
the battery and it died.
so i took my alternator out and brought it to the shop to be tested and they
said its in great shape.

what could be the issue then?

There must be and electrical short in the systom, more than likely the ECM/BRAIN,it controls the charging system on the car, alternator good and battery means the ecm is not letting the alternator charge the battery, have it checked.

DO NOT remove a battery cable when the engine is running. This is a stupid stunt that can send a voltage spike into the electrical system causing damage and draining your bank account.
