2010 Cadillac SRX won't start.

May be in the starter, suggest taking it off and having it load tested, checked out.

Clean the battery terminals and cable ends and make sure they are tight.

Hi Edinger58 how did you make out with your issue? I'm having the same problem with my 2010 srx I replaced the car with new battery and lights,radio,etc works but when I push start button to start engine a get a single clicking sound.

Same problem here. Single clicking sound is brake relay not battery. A garage told me you have to find the right sequence of things to do to reset computer before it will start. Sounds stupid I know but after changing the oil I was told to push gas pedal 8 times with power on to clear oil change light and it worked. One person said roll all windows down and up I did that but still nothing. Was hoping for a solution on here.

In some cases replacing a dead battery can cause the vehicles theft system to engage requiring a relearn to correct it.I would also make sure all fuses are o.k. in case a voltage surge had occurred and possibly caused a fuse to blow. Here is the anti theft relearn,make sure it is followed exactly with a fully charged battery: 1. With your key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. 2. Observe the security indicator, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off. 3. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds. 4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes. Important: The TDM learns the key transponder information upon the ignition switch transition from OFF to ON. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle. 5. With your key, start the vehicle.If this worked the vehicle should start and run. My car uses a fob. Everything lights up and comes on, but no engine. Only a clicking sound.

The amazing engineers at Cadillac ran the starter feed wire up and around the bell housing of the transmission and whips in between the catalytic converter and exhaust manifold. Over time that wire rubs raw and Burns out and starts to short to ground on the edge of the transmission bell housing. Take a look on the driver side between the pre cat in the bell housing and you'll find the pinch point of which the popular cause of this issue is. Most of the time the casing has been melted and rubbed clean with only the wire loom and heat wrap insulating the starter feed from shorting to ground. Hope this helps!

Mine is the fob, had it replaced and starter a d baterry. After reprogramming fob car still won't start. Acts like it will shows check engine light and all dark console.ptess start again and acts like it starts but no cranking. Jumper wire will crank. No signal down starter wire. I'm stuck.balso no security light or issue on dash or codes.... Help!

I can only get mine to crank if I jump the relay but only cranks replaces the relay and still wont crank unless I jump the relay 2010 sex everything else in the vehicle works sometimes the security light comes in I reset it but nothing
