Hi Slattery1, Sorry to hear you're having these issues. This should be covered under your Bumper to Bumper Warranty. I would recommend contacting your Cadillac dealership in in order to have them diagnose the remote. Please private message me at socialmedia@gm.com ATTN: Vanessa if you would like for me to assist in scheduling an appointment. Thank you, Vanessa GM Customer Service

your SRX should have same remote start as my 2011 CTS,have you ever put new batteries in the remote? when you park should be able to just shut off go inside and next very cold AM hold your lock button on remote 3-4 seconds or tillpark lamps flash, then push start button lights will flash again as motor turns over and starts car, automatically the wind defrost should activate at high blower motor speed,as does the heat, read your manuel to see if seat has to be manuelly set.the remote is a transmitter and if you are to far away will not work, should none the preset accessories come on before you get in vehicle.there is more to the problem.a good body shop foreman can give you rite direction to go.........................
