Why is my check engine light on? (See below under details)

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My check engine light came on a couple weeks ago. Dealership said the cannister vent celenoid needed
to be replaced (was covered under the warranty). Replaced it March 8; light came back on March 13.
Have an appointment at the dealership this afternoon.

Hope you don't have to pay for anything. You can get your codes read for free at the auto parts stores. They will tell you a code. Write the code down and post it here. We can tell you the (sometimes) inexpensive ways to repair the car.
No, I did not pay for anything - it was covered under the warranty (as stated in my question).
well if they replaced the vent solenoid it must be on for some evap. concern. it probably has a leak code and they just threw a solenoid on it and hope it would fix it. hopefully this time they will be more thorough. and run a smoke test and evap system test.
