Question type: General

2010 forester xt was driving about 70 mph
and the check engine , slip and cruise light
came on and I loss power and the car
shakes as I try to accelerate and as I stop
the car feels like it wants to stall any help
.and there was a smell .

I'm having the same problem with my 2010 Forester. Where you able to diagnose the issue? I'm going to bring to my mechanic tomorrow. I'm really hoping it's not a costly issue.

Had the same issue especially with acceleration at slow speeds and on steep hills. Check engine, traction control and blinking cruise lights finally came on after several years. Solved it with change of O2 sensors (both). I understand that the sensors are damaged by leakages. check if you had any.
