on my 3rd alternator

I have a 2005 Ford focus. In 2010 I drove through alot of rain water. My car lost power
and I had to have by alternator replaced.Since then I have gone through 3 more
alternators. symptoms: I commute about 82 miles a day. driving home my radio goes
out, then one by one all systems shut down and the car dies. someone told me its
the transmission, a ford dealer told me after market alternators are not compatible
with ford and another states it sounds like a short...help!

Yes, well the system ground is most important..yours is corroded from a "semi-conductor" condition...use a coarse wirebrush on the lug and the place where the lug bolts to~ the NEGATIVE power will be restored to all devices then~
