My Car will not start

Asked by Jim Sep 14, 2015 at 11:35 AM about the 2010 Chrysler Sebring Touring Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I drove my car yesterday and it was fine. I went to start it today and nothing,
remote locks, lights sounds nothing appears to be dead. I just changed the
battery a couple years ago.

You could have left something on to cause the battery to go dead to the point that there is not enough to start the car? Did you try to jump the car or put the battery on a charger? Are the connections clean or maybe loose?

It could be the battery ?? We had a similar Problem with the exception that sometimes it would start and sometimes it was dead ~ As a mechanic & electrician I ruled out the battery as the problem right away and eventually figured out it was the Distributor ~ Purchased for a little over $200 with lifetime warranty, Replaced it myself No more problems all Fixed :)

I had a problem with my 2000 Sebring stalling out when Idling, had tune up done. Fixed that problem but still stalling when accelerating. Mechanic went over car really good, checking sensors and valves. When checking the wiring, found that the ground wire for the fuel pump was corroded so the pump was getting power surges. Once he fixed that and replaced the damage fuel pump, car runs great. Fingers are crossed!!! Hope this helps.
