AC failure on 2010 honda crv

paid over $900.00 for compressor.  the radiator was low on fluid, mechanic did several test with fluid and dye added, it was a process to discover why the AC failed.  Said I needed a compressor, drove away and the AC is cool (not cold) for up to 3 minutes then is very warm for less than one minute, then cool again
