I replaced the front brakes on my 2010 Altima, drove it a few miles, then went home. The car wouldn't start a few hours later. The indicator for pressing the brake pedal illuminates when I press the button as if I'm not depressing the brake pedal. Any suggestions?

I found a couple of posts online I tried: 1) disconnected the battery and let the car re-calibrate itself; 2) manipulated the brake switch to ensure it wasn't sticking. The brake pedal indicator was no longer illuminated when I depressed the brake pedal & the car started. I'm not sure which of the two actually fixed the problem...
