2010 GMC Terrain rear lift will not open with button on the inside, fob or manually trying on the outside. Any suggestions?

Well, I got in open from the little hole in the hatch. But still need it fixed. By the way, once you get it open, you need to enter that little hole again to release the latch to be able to close the darn thing. Its obviously more than the switch. I believe its an electrical issue or solenoid, which will cost $$$ i am sure. I have not be able to find anything online (yet) that will show me how.
