When I apply the brake my etps comes on the
lighting bolt but as soon as I shut it off and turn it
back on it runs fine. It just comes on when brake is
applied  any ideas why ?

I only ask this because the brakes will disengage the cruise control. Conversely, the cruise control can command the throttle body. So my point is that there is a tentative link between the brakes and the throttle body. Not sure if that gives you anything to go on. I'd visually inspect the throttle body and if it looks dirty or seems like it may be sticking, i'd clean it with throttle body cleaner as per instructions on the product.
