Most of the time the ambient air sensors are located up front, just inside the grill where fresh air flow hits them. They are about 1/2" in diameter and 2" long with a double wire plugged into it. You can look for the part online to see what yours will look like. If yours is broken, it may set a code to confirm it need replaced. It does affect how much charge the battery gets on hot vs cold days.
