2010 f150 transmission question

I have a 2010 f150 4x4 4.6l that shifts fine from 1 to 2 then into drive but when it gets to drive it's like it's in neutral WTF hoping it's a simple fix just dropped a mother load in front differential

Are you saying when you start off from a dead stop the vehicle is in first gear, then shifts to second gear, and when it tries to shift again, the transmission just slip with no power to the wheel? If so, you have to visit a tranny shop, regardless if you have the four or six speed transmission.

Sound like the direct clutch or the overdrive band is gone. If it works fine in 3 but revs to the moon in O. Then. It is the OD band not holding. That could be the band or the servo or a valve body leak. It for a overhaul.
