2010 VW CC electrical issues

Asked by jyaek Jan 14, 2015 at 09:57 AM about the 2010 Volkswagen CC 2.0T Sport FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Two weeks ago, my trunk stopped opening from any mechanism other than the
manual emergency latch inside the trunk.  There appears to be a short between the
electric trunk release and the right rear taillight.  About a week ago my interior lights
stopped working.  They are illuminated inside the vehicle but will not turn on when
activated. Finally, power to my cigarette lighters seems to be intermittent. Can anyone
help offer suggestions how to fix any, if not all of, these issues? thanks!

see a car electrican and have the short fixed also going to the dealer and asking for a wireing diagram would help from the parts area.
