Limp mode

Asked by Jonnyclark Sep 25, 2016 at 10:50 AM about the 2010 Volkswagen Eos Lux

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2 litre tdi eos. Wondering if anyone
knows about this issue. If I get to 70 mph
at highish revs about 4,000 the
engine/exhaust management light comes
on and goes into limp mode, if I turn
engine off it is all cleared and drives fine
until again hits same revs and speed.
Anyone known this before and diagnosis?
Thanks

This may be caused by a throttle position sensor if it only does it at that certain speed or rpm,it will give the computer a bad signal and it will go to limp mode.Have the ECM checked before you replace any parts, have seen issue where it would be the ecm itself.
