My 2010 Dodge Ram is stuck in 4th gear of the +/- (if some1 knows what I mean) and wont go in2 drive...also the check engine light came on when this happened...can any1 help?!?...

I was driving down the highway when all the sudden my 2010 dodge ram punched out of drive and in2 the +/- 4th gear mode and would not go back in2 drive...the check engine light came on also when this happened...it goes in2 park, reverse and neutral just fine but skips drive and goes straight 2 +/- 4th gear...it drives fine while in this mode tho...can some1 help me with figuring this out?1?...

I'm experiencing the exact same thing. I was driving on the freeway yesterday and it slammed down into 4th gear and the engine light came on. Now it's stuck in 4th and it won't come out ??? Any ideas ??? Whatever happened to your?

broken accumulator or solenoid on valve body trans noted for it .

Mine did the same. 4th is a fail safe to get to a service depot. The Transmission internal pump malfunctioned. I had a private Transmisson shop replace part and new fluid, 30,000 Kim’s ago, and no trouble since.
