where is the evaporator coil located and how do you remove it?

Asked by Dakota2010 Mar 10, 2017 at 01:31 PM about the 2010 Dodge Dakota ST Crew Cab RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need to replace the evaporator coil on a 2010 Dodge Dakota V8. How do I do
it?

1 Answer

The evaporator is inside the dash. It is a lot of work to remove and re-install. I would suggest having a mechanic that specializes in AC work do the job. If you follow the AC lines to the firewall you will have an idea of where the evaporator is.
