Get a test light, turn your ignition on, remove the car radio from the dashboard then look for the positive wire that supply the radio with power, take your test light and plug it on any metal surface on the car then check if the test light turns on when you connect it to the power supply wire, if it doesn't turn on it means you have bad cables.
