2010 997 Engine lid/spoiler swap from Carrera S to Turbo (2010 also).

Asked by Fran Sep 03, 2013 at 09:55 PM about the 2010 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet RWD

Question type: Car Customization

I swapped a 2010 Carrera S engine lid out with a 2010 Turbo lid and the air box inlets don't line up. Not opposed to buying a Turbo air cleaner box cover, but want to make SURE that'll fix the issue.  Brake lite and spoiler work fine. Car even runs great but I'd like to make this not "look" wrong and don't need to throw MORE money in the wrong direction. Anyone had this issue and what was your fix?

You have answered your own question. The air boxes are part of the delivery system for the air intake that the hood has been modified for.
