if the a/c is engaged...yes. even if it isn't may need the additional cooling potential to bring the coolant temp down to operating temperature~
No, the coolant fan and the A/C Blower are not connected. They both function completely independent from one another. The ECU will determine if the radiator fan needs to turn on to pull air in through the radiator fins to speed up the cooling of returned coolant from the engine. If you let your car idle the fans will turn off and on as needed.
Will A/C fan come on WHEN A/C is hit? Or only in combination with a high temp of coolant/block?
