what is tire pressure sensor fault

Asked by cacohu Aug 18, 2013 at 09:10 PM about the 2011 Ford Focus SES

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2011 Ford Focus SES has a message in the information section which says "Tire Pressure Sensor Fault". What does this mean? I cannot find it in my owners manual. How much will this cost me if I need to have it reset or repaired? Thanks.

Your Tire pressure monitor system has failed, you should still be under warranty but if not it is safe to drive if you don't have the money to get it fixed right away ..it may be something as simple as a wire off or a ground

It basically has nothing to do with your car breaking down. If you don't have the money to fix it just let it go. Next time you need a new car, just don't buy a Ford, period!

My 2010 focus has the monitoring light on. Took it to garage and said the back tire has bad sensor. Put new one in and drove it 5 miles and light came back on.When it is on my dash lights and blinkers will not work but when it goes off they work. Does anyone know what may be wrong?
