Tire Pressure Sensor Fault?

Asked by GuruY8LQM Oct 29, 2018 at 07:09 PM about the 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2017 Ford Fusion Titanium. I bought it used, only has about 50k miles.
It kept blinking with a ! and saying there is a "Tire Pressure Sensor Fault". I've
read reviews on this and it doesn't seem like a big deal, but then all of a
sudden none of my car window buttons will work and my main control system
buttons for the air won't work. I'm not sure what's going on. The touch screen
works, and I can still play music, lock my car, etc. Very odd and I'm worried I
won't be able to afford the fix if something is very wrong. I do not have a
warranty.

First thing I would do is check the connections at the 12 volt battery. The connection need to be absolutely clean, free from corrosion and tight. If the battery terminals are corroded clean them and consider replacing the battery. This may or may not fix the issue, but it is a good starting point. Warning, do not mess around with the orange high voltage wires that are connected to the hybrid system.
