Battery charging system

My battery charging light came on two weeks ago.
Went off same night. Got it tested by mechanic and  
alternator and battery tested fine. I drive it the last
two weeks with no issue. Then today the light
appeared again as well as battery saving mode.
The car starts and drives fine. What could this be
