2007 Jeep Liberty turn and flasher not blinking

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
My left turn blinker stopped in middle of a turn. now there is no blinker left or right nor warning flasher. Normally there is a "flasher relay" but auto parts stores and dealership say there is no such part listed in manuals. Dealership says possible fuse, bad ground, or swithch, none of what makes sense to a old mechanic like myselt. Have flasher relays been eliminated in new electronic systems??

Your vehicle has a combination flasher that is part of the hazard switch here is the shop manual for description and testing DESCRIPTION the combination flasher is integral to the hazard switch unit located behind the hazard switch button (1) near the center of the instrument panel. The combination flasher is a smart relay that functions as both the turn signal system and the hazard warning system flasher. The combination flasher contains active electronic Integrated Circuitry (IC) elements. This flasher is designed to handle the current flow requirements of the factory-installed lighting. If supplemental lighting is added to the turn signal lamp circuits, such as when towing a trailer with lights, the combination flasher will automatically try to compensate to keep the flash rate the same. The combination flasher cannot be repaired or adjusted and, if ineffective or damaged, the hazard switch unit must be replaced.
