Question type: Maintenance & Repair
car has a weird problem, runs hot for a fwe seconds then go back to normal and a few minutes later I get the alarm of running hot again. I am guessing is the thermostat, so I want to remove it to see the difference before I buy a new one, I also think maybe the fan is not turnning on at the right time

thermostat is off the side of the water pump (lhs when looking from the front) and is mounted with 3 10mm bolts. it comes as a unit which is a housing and thermo in one. you may not see a physical issue with it. if memory serves, there is a good chance your car has a viscous fan, meaning that the center may require replacement. also remove the fanbelt and check the play in the water pump, the belt may be keeping it centered but the bearings may have gone requiring repacement.
