can I remove the transmission from a 2006 bmw 750Li and place it into a 2004
bmw 745LI

Only if the transmission numbers match, if they don’t then you may have electronic incompatibility problems.

BMW 750i is 2006,2007, and 2008 does not interchange with a 745i in any year. If you want to check interchanges go to Car-Part.com. It will tell you what salvage yard has your transmission and what years will work.
