whats wrong with my merc

the car has this problem of cutting when travelling
.i have changed the fuel pump and also the filter to
no avail.recently the problem has even got worse
because of the ignition system that couldnt be
turned by the key.i had to bypass the igniton switch
as it was not turning.but now the cutting is even
worse .cant drive for two km the car cuts
intermittently .where do i start.what are the
possible culprits here

Notick01 you probably have a sensor that is messed up and when you went and did that you actually probably just made the problem worse sensors are very sensitive like if you have it a hole in your exhaust either before or after the O2 sensor that can make your car run rich or lean depending and if it's before or after the sensor when you try to bypass stuff like that it doesn't really help
