Engine power reduced

Asked by Girl03 May 17, 2020 at 07:59 AM about the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 1LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I will be driving and then out of nowhere the car will
slow down, check engine light comes on and the
message “engine power reduced” and “low
traction” will come up. I have replaced the ignition
coils, spark plugs, crank shaft sensor, cleaned the
throttle body and got a new computer for it and
none of this has fixed the problem. It now jerks
when shifting off park. No codes come up when the
mechanics have checked it. I really need help
figuring this out. Thank you.

I had this problem with my 2016 Chevy Malibu. I ran diagnostics can’t remember the code but it said to replace the gas pedal so that’s what we did and it fix the problem. Hope it works
