2011 Subaru Outback battery died and now Nav System is locked up. Do I really need a dealer code?

Asked by Michele Feb 10, 2016 at 09:38 AM about the 2011 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After battery died and needed to jump start vehicle, the Nav System reset and
is prompting for the maps DVD.  This has been done, reset Nav System,
unhooked battery cable, etc.  Nothing works which means the radio is near
unusable, no backup camera, no DVD, no CD, no maps, nothing...arrgghhh!

Read some posts on this forum and then call the dealership. I'm sure they can help you. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/nav-reset-after-jump- start-2010-legacygt-185229.html?p=5109279

This is a very old post but I just ran into this problem on my 2010 Legacy 3.6R. I have read the legacygt.com post an those answers there haven't work for me and my dealer says they haven't heard of it before. Any further suggestions?

Try calling up Subaru of America directly. Ask for technical help.
