My 2011 F250 is making a ticking noise. It sounds like a fan and continues when the engine is turned off but the electric system is on. HAs anyone had the same problem. If so, how did you repair it

Gas. The noise continues after the engine is turned off but electric is still on.

My truck did that and in my case it turned out to be a dried oak leaf that got sucked into the blower housing and made a tapping/clicking noise. Try changing the fan speed to see if the noise changes. If it changes then you might have a leaf or something rubbing in the blower.

If it is a v10 they have had several complaints on the exhaust ticking after it is shut off.

Thank you for your responses. My truck has the V8. I thought it was the fan but it continues after the fan is off and does not change when I change the fan speed.

Let me know if you find out what it is . Mine is a 2011 ford f -250 lariat crew cab fx4 ...Jerrytorres@live.com
