2011 Ford Explorer

Asked by GuruLVV5W Apr 01, 2019 at 07:11 AM about the 2011 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2011 Ford Explorer has 88,000 miles. I still have 6months or 20,000 miles
left on my extended warranty. I need front shocks and 4 tires about $2000. Do
I put the money into repair or consider a new Explorer? How many more miles
can I expect it to go?

I would fix the car. It should last you another 5 years or so with moderate care. By the way, $2k seems a bit high for 4 tires and front struts (shocks). You may want to shop around.

Four tires, at 200 each equals 800 bucks. Two struts for for 1200? Go somewhere else.
