On a car this new?...Do you have a car charger for your cell phone that you leave plugged in at all times? Some cars constantly supply power to these even when the car is off. That can quickly kill a battery.

just a question for you.. if you lock the doors is the alarm setting? i have only seen this problem on genesis that have had the rubber stop for the hood switch either removed or not installed when new. this keeps the cars computer "awake" and acts as a draw on the system.

Because of a too short rubber under-hood plunger that pushes down on the hood open security switch not pushing the button down completely, the body computer is staying awake. It should go to sleep. A longer rubber plunger is available at the dealer for 50 cents. Replace the shorter one on your car.

Local Hyundai dealer claims that keys within 50 ft of car when parked and locked can give a wake up signal to car's computer, which drains battery down. After a $95 inspection charge, this was the only reason why battery discharged to 30% after 2 weeks of non use. Also, low voltage was blamed for standard anti-lock brakes from failing in panic stop, in which we did not stop in time, but went thru a "pink" light. Does this really happen?
