I keep popping a few fuses in my 1996 Caddi El Dorado. Then the engine dies. My mechanic thinks its the fuel pump that is having intermittent issues. How difficult would it be to replace the fuel pump in this caddi ? thanks

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drives perfectly fine and then "pooof", engine dies and comes to a halt.  Two hours later, starts right up
and then the same thing is happening.  Is my fuel pump "shorting out" ?

Your cadillac dealer service department has equipment to find the source of the problem. Some local mechanics also have the equipment but most will just refer you to cadillac. If you don;t have the proper equipment, you won't be able to find it yourself and neither will anyone else.
