CarGurus email contact has not answered; perhaps you can help.

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

CarGurus email contact has not answered my question.  Maybe some of the buyers out there could help.  The car I am interested in is 250 miles away.  I would like to fly to this location, look at the care, buy the car with cash or certified check, and drive it home that same day.  The seller has a loan thru CarGuru so the loan has to be paid and the title put in the mail.  That's fine but I want to drive it home the same day.  How does a buyer do this?

I’m also shopping for a Vehicle and I’m coming across many used vehicles that have liens on the titles. I am personally choosing not to buy any of those vehicles. There’s too much risk in my opinion. Unless car gurus handles the transaction where the money goes from you, to car gurus to pay off the loan, and then the balance to the seller, I personally wouldn’t do it. It’s tough finding used vehicles in the open market without liens on them or that have not been rebuilt. The last thing you want is the inability to be able to get the vehicle in your name and the appropriate insurance and registrations. Or you have to pay off their loan yourself and then take them to court to get the money back which I’ve seen other people have to do.
