Noise from window or dash at high speed

Asked by Lora Feb 05, 2011 at 08:41 PM about the 2011 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need help my new Altima makes a lot of noise when I go 55 or higher, I am not sure exactly where it is coming from the windshield, the dash, the fans, I don't know and I just bought it and it is very frustrating. I have taken it back to the dealer and they can't figure it out! Help If anyone has had this same problem please let me know how you fixed it!!!

im not really sure what it could be, however it should still be under bumper to bumper warranty if you just bought it like you said. therefore the have to fix it (most likely by swapping out random parts and hoping) or replace the car in its entirety. sorry i couldn't be of more help

I had the same issue. Open the hood and there is a piece of weather stripping up by the windshield make sure the strip is clipped in. On ours it had come out and the plastic part that clips in was vibrating against the metal causing the horrific sound at any speed over 55. We were so excited that the fix was this easy!
