I just bought my 2011 CX-7 a few months ago. I've had the same issue twice now and I know the previous owner had it at least twice. The local Mazda dealer changed the throttle body and the PCM the first time it happened because it throws a code for the throttle body. Now they are telling me that it's a wiring issue and that someone that worked on the car damaged wires and so they want to replace a wiring harness ($2700) but fortunately for me they don't make them anymore. So they tried to repair the damaged wires but they tell me that it's impossible to find and repair all the damage. I paid over $600 in labour the first time it was there and it sat there for over two weeks before they decided to fix the damaged wires they could find. After three weeks I had the same issue and now it's sitting at the dealership again and Mazda Canada says they've "given me every consideration" and my case is closed. Which basically means I'm out the entire cost of my vehicle because it's not drive-able and they say they can't fix it. This issue of the check engine light coming on, the TCS light coming on and the car going into limp mode (which means you have no acceleration) seems to be a common problem that is not repaired by changing the throttle body and PCM. It wasn't raining the first time it did it to me, but it was the second time. Wondering how many of us have this issue and if it's something we should be fighting with Mazda for a recall on?
