the rods to the outside door handles has became unlatched, how to i latch them back on?
the outside door handles are still attached from one end but the other end they have become detached

Have to take inside door panel off and there should be a plastic liner to try not to rip and you should see what the problem is and you may need to replace the clip that holds it to the door. Also there will be screws and push pins holding the panel on to the door it self.
