Misfiring

Have a 2011 Silverado  engine light came on took it to parts store  hooked it up
to computer  it said #7 was misfiring  the engine light  went off the next day two
weeks later  the engine light came  back on  said the smarting #7 is misfiring  
going to change  plugs  Wil this solve the problem  and what is it with  the #7
every thing I've read  it's been on the #7

Might be a bad plug, plug wire, or more likely a bad coil. Swap the coil to one of the other cylinders and see if the problem follows. That way you can know for certain what was causing the issue. Hopefully for you it's a minor enough problem a tune up will fix it without getting into injectors or more serious issues like valves or head gasket.

The easiest thing to check would be the coil, each cylinder has it's own (called a COP or "coil on plug"), unplug the one of the missing cylinder and swap it to one of the other cylinders, and wait for problem to reoccur. If problem shows up on that other cylinder, then you can safely assume it was a bad coil.

I had the same issue and it turned out to be high resistance on one of the injector connectors. replaced the connector and all good now. pour water over the connectors and see if it get worse to find the bad one.
