Wires hanging underneath car

I have wires hanging underneath car mustang gt 02
convertible.  It was sitting for 5 years and I think a rodent
chewed them apart. There are two pieces in middle of car
underbelly kinda by where the transmission gear shifter
would be inside the car. They look kinda like sensors or
relays? Plastic pieces one blue more on drivers side. One
grayish I think on passenger side, with several chewed
wires coming out of each one.  I'm trying to figure out what
these are? What they go to. Everything seems to be working
ok. But I havent drove it far or long. I took pics can
someone please give me any advice or info on what these
may be?

Check engine light is on. What are the oxygen sensors is it ok to drive it like that? How do I know if that's it? I have no idea what your talking about. How can I find out where the downstream oxygen sensors are located?

Is this something that I could replace easily myself? If I googled it and figured out how to do it?

How many oxygen sensors do i have ? 2? Ok so I had car scannednit is both the oxygen sensors as u said. Thx for your advice. The guy said I might could put the wires back together, I guess reconnect them so I wouldnt have to buy new ones? Is that even possible? Is this something u would re recommend a machanic to do or something I could possibly try to figure out? Is there alot to this process with the sensors? Of course I have no idea anything about cars, but can learn quick i need to unless this you need to be experienced to mess with this issue
