does the 2004 chrysler sebring have a timing chain or timing belt?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Engine noise sound like a belt flapping where the timing belt or chain would be
located. I can't find a garage that will replace it for me. They say it's too much
involved and they don't want to mess with it. On place gave me an estimate but
when I took the car in he said he couldn't do it because it had a timing chain.
All the info I have came up with says it has a timing belt.

What is the size of the motor? What is the motor.
Take it to a real shop. Any competent mechanic can do the work.
If it is a 2.7 it has chain.
Yup, and the 2.4 has a belt
Yup, and the 2.4 has a belt. And really! Too involved? Must be leaves falling from tree in his workspace
If it is a chain, there should be no need to replace. (I had a computer glitch.)

Now, yes I agree, the chain is actually 3 chains each with a tensioner, as shown on TST's image. The tensioner can fail but not chain
FordNut, A negatory on that, and I will try, I see something is wrong on my end too.
How about trying 9065537274 to correct this problem? I find that that avenue does work.
