Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I own a 2004 chrysler sebring 2.7L lx. I noticed recently my steering wheel
vibrates ever so slightly when in drive and idling at a light. switching to
neutral will remove the vibration. note, when i start my car switching from
park to drive, my car will jerk a little, not violently though. 130000km Im
thinking its the tranny mounts, looking straight down my engine
compartment, in front of the engine i can see one, are others visible. Do i
check when its running with two people or can i check without another
person or am i completly off thanks guys

Engine or transmission mounts probably. It is best to have 2 people when trying to determine which one is the problem. Have someone stand BESIDE the car looking into the engine bay and you press the brake firmly as you shift back and forth from D to N to R. You may have to press the gas slightly at the same time to make it more obvious which one is causing the movement.
