I have gone through 2 starters in under a week. They will work for 1 or 2 days and then the next day I go to start it, nothing happens. It is NOT the battery. I did not have this problem before I had it worked on in a shop (I do my own stuff if possible) it went in for an oil leak and started just fine before it was worked on. The shop did both starters

I have a 2006 VW Passat. During the summer my car will start up and drive fine like nothing is wrong with it. Then maybe an hr or two later it will just stall on me. I sit for about 30 to 45 minutes and it starts back up no problem. A couple times the check engine light came on after I started it again but will go off by time I made it home or the next morning. 6 Answers

1998 beetle. Went for oil change. As soon as they completed it my check engine light came on. They checked code, was some emmissions code. Okay so the light goes out 2 days later. A few days later the car wont start, like it is out of gas, it's turning but not catching. I let it sit for 1/2 hr then it starts and the engine light back on. Everything fine for a few days then the same thing happens out of the blue. Just happened again to me. Car was fine, no light on then i go somewhere, park it, get back in and it wont start like its out of gas...let it sit for half hour and then it starts like nothing was wrong and the engine light back on now. What could be wrong? I am not out of gas. Did the guy doing the oil change/new filter mess something up? 6 Answers

I have a 2003 vw passat 1.8T. It puttered out while driving. Lost all oil through somewhere. Oil was underneath, on top of engine and inside of passenger wheel. Will not turn over now. 2 Answers
