Crank but no start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I bought a 2000 Chrysler Sebring jxi 2 days
ago. I drove it home 47miles on the highway.
It road perfectly. Every time I started it, it
started with no problem. Last night when I
got in it. It made a chucking noise as if it
was out of gas. But it has gas in it.
Everytime I turn the key it just keeps making
the chucking noise as if it's about to catch
but it don't. Please help. I'm trying to figure
out what the problem is.

Start by checking battery voltage, should be 12.4 minimum, spray some quick start in the throttle body and see if starts, if it does, it's a fuel issue. Check fuel pressure. If not, check spark on spark plugs. If you got fuel pressure and spark, check compression, it might've jumped time. If everything checks out good, check the catalytic converter. Any engine codes?
make sure battery is fully charged.. try tapping a starter lightly (not too much force, you don't want to crack the starter housing) just a little while someone is cranking, it could be that starter is going too (brushes inside starter worn out)..also make sure that bolt on starter where positive cable(red) is connecting, is nice and snug, not loose..
Thank you for such quick responses. No there aren't any lights on the car but the abs and traction light. What's is quick start? Fuel injector? From AutoZone?

crank sensor is in tranmission bellhousing below distributor,it is almost impossible to see, or get to..must remove ,master ciilnder waterlines egr tubing ..if you cut lower heater hoses next to fire wall in the middle you can splice them back together.otherwise you can ntension 23 ft exot get your hand even close to sens or,1 10 mm bolt .use 1/4 or 3/8 socket with a swivel .and 2-3 foot extension.you can only see bolt. wiggle crank sensor,,pull out of transmission.make sure you compair length .old, to new, aftermarket ,somtimes shorter and don't touck flywheel.
