Engine blown

Asked by GuruLBM85 Apr 04, 2019 at 08:04 PM about the 2012 Ford Fusion Sport

Question type: General

I recently had my oil changed at a
local quick lube store. The engine
was running fine when I pulled it
in then when the oil had been
changed as soon as I started it I
started hearing like a lifter
tapping. The tech said to take it to
my mechanic and if they did
something wrong they would
repair it. 3 days later the engine
blew. Now the oil change place
doesn't want to repair it . Is this a
coincidence or bad oil product?
BTW they put a high mileage
additive in with the oil. Any ideas?
