2012 Terrain Rear Hatch won't open often

Asked by GregB59 Oct 22, 2020 at 11:58 AM about the 2012 GMC Terrain SLE1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 GMC Terrain. The rear hatch only opens occasionally...usually
need to push it many times.  This is not a powered hatch. I have replaced the
switch twice (once at the dealer under warranty, and once last year myself) but
now a switch replacement is not helping...the switch is new and I have tested it
with my multimeter and it is fine. What else should I check?

1 Answer

I finally bought a replacement latch and installed it...everything seems to be working okay now.
