Why didn't the indicator temp gauge move?
I just bought an 04 ford escape. The indicator temp gauge after driving for about an hour
was still just a little above cool. Is that normal? Please answer I am at my wits end, I
have been looking for an suv for almost 6 weeks and finally bought my 04 ford escape
today.. Thanks, Erika

Oh I also had the heat on that worked fine, I turned on the cool vent air on and that seemed to work too. The seller said the air works, so what could it be or is this normal??
Also there is NO check engine lights on or any other warning lights.

Have the thermostat checked--could be stuck open not allowing the engine to heat.

I am having almost the same issue with a Ford Escape 2011, the temperature gauge was in the middle this morning before I even started the engine. And when I did start the engine, it had a very rough start. By pressing the fuel pedal a bit, it went well. The fault was P0116 which means it is ECT fault. Therefore, I spent a full day searching for this part but I could not. Anyone can advise?
