I have a 2006 dodge charger, it does not happen all the time, but it shifts into second and third gear late, and will stay in third gear unless I stop the car turn it off and start it up again, at that point it will go through the gears normally, then when the car comes to a stop and go again it will act up like before, any ideas?

I have an 07 Charger RT that's has code 335 and 339 coming up on diagnostics. The code is crankshaft sensor intermittent signal. I replaced the crank sensor and still same problem. Car turns over but doesn't start except occasionally it will start and have a slow idle, but it will not rev up when gas pedal is pushedn then it will stall out. The battery in the car has been dead before, do I just need a new battery? Or is it something wrong with the alternator?
